The European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI) has announced the recipients of its 2026 ENAI Awards , recognising five individuals for their contributions to academic and research integrity. The awards were presented during the European Conference on Ethics and Integrity in Academia (ECEIA26) in Batumi, Georgia, on 15 th September 2026. The ENAI Awards recognise individuals whose work makes a meaningful contribution to advancing academic and research integrity. Advancing Research Integrity Together: ENAI Joins Slovak National Discussion

ENAI representatives Veronika Kr sničan and Dita Henek Dlabolov were invited as an expert voice to a national round table on research integrity and ethics in Slovakia, held on 10 April 2026 in Bratislava. The event brought together rectors and vice-rectors of higher education institutions, heads of research organisations, representatives of ethics committees, and other national-level stakeholders. The round table took place in the context of the ongoing implementation of Slovakia s national Code of Research Integrity and Ethics , adopted two years ago. This process has been accompanied by the establishment of the National Committee for Research Integrity and Ethics (NKVIE) in 2025, which handled nine cases during its first year of operation. ENAI contributed to the introductory session by highlighting the importance of academic integrity as a foundation for research integrity and ethics.

In January, researchers, research managers and integrity specialists gathered in Tbilisi for an intensive two-day workshop dedicated to responsible science communication. The event formed part of the Responsible Conduct of Research – Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS ) project, an international initiative aimed at strengthening ethical research practices across Georgian higher education.
