ACPA Highlights Concrete Solutions for Public Works ACPA was recently engaged at the American Public Works Association’s Public Works Expo in Houston, Texas. The Annual PWX event brings together cities and municipalities from around the country to learn about the best technologies available to help improve their communities. The exhibit hall and technical sessions cover all aspects of public works needs. ACPA’s Senior Director of Technical Services, Eric Ferrebee was on hand and in the ACPA booth to help attendees learn that there are concrete solutions to their pavement needs. He and Lee Shepard (ICPA/IRMCA) were actively engaged with participants to educate them on how concrete pavement should be a regular strategy and tool for their communities. 2026 Excellence In Concrete Pavement Award Winners Announced ACPA is pleased to announce the recipients of the 37th Annual Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards . For over 35 years, the awards program has recognized the contractors, engineers, and project owners responsible for the country’s most outstanding concrete pavement projects. Award winners will be celebrated during the Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards banquet on Thursday, December 3, during ACPA’s 63rd Annual Meeting . Formal letters and plaque proofs will be sent to project contacts this week. This year, the Association recognizes 35 award-winning projects and the hard work, outstanding quality, and creative approaches to problem-solving demonstrated by project partners. One of the things I’ve been thinking about lately is what it really means for ACPA to deliver value to our members and return on investment with a non-profit that serves to promote concrete paving across the country. Sometimes that value is easy to see: a meeting, a webinar, awarding technical excellence. But some of ACPA’s most important work happens behind the scenes, when our technical team answers a call from a state, when we represent the industry in a room where specifications are being discussed, or when we create a new way for contractors, who build the world we live in, to directly engage and benefit from this association.
