The International Digital Arts Festival of Greece, Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF), concluded with great success once again this year, taking place from April 23 to 26 at Technopolis City of Athens, reaffirming its position as one of Europe’s leading digital arts festivals. This year’s edition, themed “Metamorphosis,” attracted more than 12,000 visitors and showcased a total of 348 works across 12 categories by artists and creators from around the world. The concept of “Metamorphosis” served as the central axis of the artistic program, exploring the profound environmental, social, and technological transformations shaping contemporary life, with particular emphasis on environmental issues. A Sea in the City An experience of art, technology, and ecological awakening that changed us. For one day only, the sea flooded the heart of Athens. On September 25 , the Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF) , through its action “A Sea in the City,” transformed the Kypseli Municipal Market into a living ecosystem of art, technology, and environmental awareness. More than 2,500 visitors wandered among luminous jellyfish, sounds that reacted to their presence, and interactive artworks that seemed to breathe. In the educational workshops, children learned to create animations inspired by the sea, while adults became artists themselves—crafting interactive jellyfish from reused plastic bottles , later added to the large-scale installation Medusa Valley by COSMOTE TELEKOM.
