    Hello, We are in the middle of having our website updated. With this come the inevitable little errors that we need to iron out. Currently we are experiencing an issue with order emails not being sent. If you have ordered but haven’t recieved a confirmation, do not worry. So long as the payment has cleared from your bank we have received it on our end and you shall be Adorned. There is also an issue with certain payment gateways. Once the payment has been completed, certain people are experiencing either a blank screen or an error sign. However, it’s often the case that we have again received your order. If you’ve experienced either of these issues and wish to get in touch please use the contact form or message us on social media and we’ll reassure you. Sorry for the inconvenience, we’re doing our best to sort it out. Sarah x

    Since the UK left the European Union on January 1st, all orders from us to the EU are now subject to import taxes. How this works: 1) When we make a postage label for your order, we are now required, by law, to fill in a customs form. This has all the details of what you have bought, including price, weight and country of origin. 2) We post your order. Yippee! 3) As the parcel arrives in your country, it will be go to customs. When you buy from us, you are essentially ‘importing’ that item, so they check it looks like what we say it is. 4) They will calculate if any VAT tax / duty owed and bill you. VAT is charged on most orders between €10-€150. Orders over €150 may also incur customs, as well as VAT. Finally, there will be a handling fee for processing your parcel.     Fairtrade is a term we’ve had knocking around for years. You might associate it with coffee, bananas, or chocolate – or maybe you’ve never heard it before. So, you might be wondering, what is Fairtrade? Fair-trade means that every person in the making of a product is paid a fair amount. That amount is correlated with the living wage of that place and above. But wait, isn’t this how all clothes are made? Sadly not. The majority of our purchases fall under what is known as ‘Fast Fashion’. What does fast fashion actually mean? Fast fashion means people are exploited for cheap labour with long hours. Workers can work up to 16 hour days, 7 days a week in cramped, crumbling buildings.     Fun fact: Adorned would never have happened without the month of February. Why? Cos it’s when we are both born! Mama’s birthday was on the 17th, and me (Sarah) followed 26 years later on the 26th – but I was actually due on the 17th too. Birthdays to us aren’t just about receiving presents and love.     Hey hippies! Sometimes our photos don’t quite show off our beautiful wears. So, we’re in the process of updating our site, bit by bit. With that in mind, we arranged a little shoot with the beautiful Aimee to model our block print dungas. What we didn’t realise was that Luna, our silver tabby, DESPERATELY needed to be in EVERY photo :’) She even wanted to be in the group photo! Cats aside, here are some old listings with (hopefully) banging new photos. You can also find some of the backdrop pieces in our homeware section .
