The Automotive Engine Rebuilders Association (AERA) is pleased to announce that longtime AERA employee Steve Fox has been appointed to the President/CEO of AERA. Steve brings over 40 years of experience in the engine rebuilding and performance industry to his new position. He began his career working alongside his parents at Champion Racing Engines in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he spent 13 years building a solid foundation in engine performance and engine machining. Steve graduated with an associate’s degree in Automotive Aftermarket Management from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. He joined AERA in 1996, where he has dedicated more than 30 years to supporting and advancing the association in many areas. The Automotive Engine Rebuilders Association (AERA) is pleased to announce that Amanda Goyette has been appointed to Vice President/Corporate Secretary assisting Steve Fox President/CEO of AERA. Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree from Winona State University in 2009 and began her career at a mail/fulfillment company in customer service and accounting. There she learned many skills including bulk mailing/circulation and IT work, along with accounting. She was hired by AERA in 2014 where she wore many hats. She started as a Communication and Circulation Specialist then worked her way into IT and Human Resources and most recently served as an Administrative Assistant for both the President and Operations Manager. Wow, what a ride I’ve been on since joining this industry back in 1984. Coming out of college with an Industrial Arts degree and business administration minor, then joining the Goodson Shop Supplies crew in tech service. Becoming the sales manager one year later at Goodson and then serving on the Board of Directors at AERA. My world really changed in 1999 when I went to work at AERA in Marketing. Now, ending my career as President/CEO of AERA for the past 16 years — Priceless! I’ve been so blessed to have worked with so many smart and talented people, especially at AERA. The team we’ve built and the bond I have with them is so rewarding. Congratulations to John Leso, the lucky winner of the EREF Engine Giveaway at PRI 2025. The 598 CID Big Block Chevy was built by Jeff Baldwin from Baldwin Racing Engines in Friedheim, Missouri. We called John to let him know that he had won the engine and he was a little shocked and could not believe it! He told us that he is currently working on a 1966 Chevy Nova 2-door and was building a twin-turbo, small block Chevy to put in it. Well, that engine project is on hold and now this 598 Big Block Chevy is going in its place. The EREF Engine Giveaway is a direct fundraiser to benefit EREF.
