  1. Some nice truths
    Aug 28, 2024 · original
Heard these today and like them. Ten truths. Silence is more powerful than trying to prove a point. When trust is broken, sorry means nothing. Control your actions. Learn to react less. When you are honest, you lose people who don’t deserve you. A beautiful heart, is worth more than a thousand beautiful faces. A small circle, private life, clear mind, and happy heart, are invaluable. Never go back to somebody who has already broken you. Stop overthinking. You can’t control everything. Just let it be. If someone is stupid enough to walk away from you, let them go. True friends are very rare. If you have one consider yourself lucky. Here are some more: Work in silence. Celebrate in private. People love to ruin things. We suffer more in our imagination, then we do in real life. It’s never too late, to be what you might have been. Thanking is difficult. That’s why most people judge. #1: Oubaitori- Never compare yourself. Everyone blossoms in their own time in different ways. Don’t judge yourself by someone else’s path. #2: Kaizen – Continuously improve. Constantly strive to improve across all areas of your life. Small changes accumulate and make all the difference. #3: Wabi-sabi – Embrace imperfection. Nothing lasts, nothing is complete. Accept your own flaws and those of others. Find beauty in imperfection. #4: Gaman – Have dignity during duress. Hard times need to be met with emotional maturity and self-control. We need patience, perseverance, + tolerance. #5: Ikigai – Know your reason for being. Define the reason you get up in the morning. Make it something you are good at, passionate about, and that the world needs. THIS is meaning. #6: Shikita ga nai – Accept and let go. Some things simply aren’t within our control. Accept what you cannot change, and move on. #
  4. Nice quotes from Charlie Chaplin
    Oct 4, 2022 · original
Charlie Chaplin lived to be 88 years old. He left us four of his messages: (1) Nothing is permanent in this world, not even our problems. (2) I love walking in the rain because no one can see my tears. (3) The most wasted day in life is the day we do not laugh. (4) The six best doctors in the world are… : 1. Sun, 2. Rest , 3. Exercise, 4. Modesty , 5. Self respect 6. Good friends. Stick with these things in all stages of your life and enjoy healthy living… When you see the moon, you see the beauty of God.. If you see the sun you see the power of God.. If you look at yourself in the mirror, you see God’s best creation. So believe that. We are all just tourists here, God is our travel agent who has already determined our routes, bookings and destinations.. trust him and enjoy life. Life is just a journey! Therefore live today to the fullest! Tomorrow may never be no more..
  5. Nice quotes on programming from Code Complete
    Aug 1, 2022 · original
“The visual and intellectual enjoyment of well-formatted code is a pleasure that few nonprogrammers can appreciate. But programmers who take pride in their work derive great artistic satisfaction from polishing the visual structure of their code.” “…there is a psychological basis for writing programs in a conventional manner: programmers have strong expectations that other programmers will follow these discourse rules. If the rules are violated, then the utility afforded by the expectations that programmers have built up over time is effectively nullified.” “The smaller part of the job of programming is writing a program so that the computer can read it; the larger part is writing it so that other humans can read it.” “The information contained in a program is denser than the information contained in most books. Whereas you might read and understand a page of a book in a minute or two, m
