    Intro September is here, and my calendar and to-do lists make sure that I’m aware of it. Thankfully, the weather is returning to its normals and not making things harder for me.     Intro One of the things I really like about our neighborhood is that it’s usually a really quiet and calm place. I said usually because that’s not the case for the last couple of weeks. This is how it usually goes these days. Mornings are quiet and calm as usual, which is the best way to start my day. But around noon, the common area between the seven blocks we’re part of turns into an asylum taken over by its patients. But those patients are between 4 to 8 years old, mostly boys, and no one cares about what they do at all. So it’s screams, swearing, and a bunch of other random noises until 8 in the evening at least. Then if I’m extra unlucky that day (like today), our downstairs neighbors start watching random videos (usually politics or religious stuff) on what I’m guessing based on the really poor sound quality from their phones for another hour or two. Then it’s back to normal again

    Intro There are many reasons I’m glad that I’ve born in Adana but a more recent one is that what Europe and this part of Turkey calls heat waves are the regular summer weather in Adana. Which means I’m prepared to deal with this weather both physically and mentally. The number one rule to deal with this type of weather is that you don’t fight it. You can’t act like you can do what you do in normal days, you just accept that everything needs to slow down and you need to protect yourself with any means necessary.     Intro Health problems, specifically the one caused by my spine, are not going anywhere, and I have no idea when the hospital will call for the physical therapy appointments. As a result, I had to minimize my office time to calls and recordings only because sitting on my desk as usual only makes things worse. In other news, NBA playoffs are going way more exciting and fun than I was expecting.
