About a month ago I spoke at a Business Analyst conference in London. The conference was 3 days, and I was speaking the first morning and had the rest of the time to enjoy the talks and workshops held by colleagues and invited keynotes. Though the preparation for the conference took an enormous amount of time putting together the slides, thinking through the practical exercises and rehearsing, I knew that I had to think through the appearance part as well. I am a girl in the end, and looking good helps me feel confident and empowered. So I would like to share with you some of my thoughts on how to approach the difficult task of choosing what to wear to a professional or business conference. The Holiday season is over and everything seems so grey and the spring seems so far away, that I need an inspiring plan of action to fight the winter blues and survive until more light and sun start coming my way. I think we all do. My all-time recipe is to spend some hygge time with friends with lots of hot drinks and also plan some cultural events that will surround me with beauty and take to other times and realms. Summer days are flying so quickly, that I rarely want to waste them on indoor events, so I love packing my winter days with exhibitions, performances and dance shows. Here is my pick of art and culture in London that I would love to see this winter. Fashion, visual arts, theatre and dance and even some Nature creations to welcome spring. I love October. It’s all about the magnificent colours, the last warm rays of sunshine, a bit of melancholy and the deep scent of the earth. Even the blooming pastel spring is not able to compete with the mature beauty of this season. With days getting cooler sometimes I catch myself just wishing to jump into a sweat-shirt or wrap in something warm and cosy.
