  1. Allagash Podcast: Naturally Occurring (S5 E5)
    Jun 22, 2026 · original
We had to figure out how to make citrusy, smooth, and beautifully hazy Allagash White pour out of a tap in the side of a tree. And we had to do it for an ad that we’re calling “Naturally Occurring.” To hear all the behind-the-scenes on how our engineering team worked up a tree pouring rig, and how we even landed on the idea for a beer-pouring tree in the first place, give this podcast a listen! What’s in the episode Brett and Liz of the Allagash Marketing team to hear all about their newest campaign, featuring Allagash White pouring out of a tree. They run through the idea behind the advertisement and how, through testing, it emerged as the clear favorite. They also talk through all of the logistics of filming a commercial like this, with real beer, a real beer-pouring tree, and a real location out in the woods of Maine. Plus, you’ll hear where the ads are running. Hope you enjoy! The po

Our love of soccer runs deep. We couldn’t be more excited to share our collaboration with the soccer apparel legends at Umbro . 5. Allagash Benefit Corporation Report 2025
    Mar 24, 2026 · original
Sustainability Every Step of the Way A Note from Rob This will be our seventh Benefit Corporation report. And, looking back, we wanted to do things differently this time. Our past impact reports have been rich with information, but somehow still seemed to fall short of capturing the breadth and depth of the work that goes into our sustainability efforts. So, in this year’s report, you’ll see fewer topics, each with more focus. We hope that by going deep with specific examples, you’ll see just how driven, exacting, and committed our team is to doing this work. It was hard to choose! There are so many initiatives we could have covered. Hopefully, the examples we’ve selected give you a sense of how we’re constantly working to make our brewery a better place. We hope the contents of this report make the contents of your next can, bottle, or draft pour of Allagash White taste all the better.

  8. 2 Million Pounds of Maine-Grown Grain
    Jan 19, 2026 · original
A Journey with Friends If you were to pick up and enjoy an Allagash White, a good portion of that enjoyment would come from Maine-grown grain. And the fact that that grain is in your glass is due to a pledge way back in 2015, and the many folks who worked hard, both inside our brewery and out, to make it happen. In 2025, we crossed a milestone we’ve been working toward for nearly a decade: brewing with more than two million pounds of Maine-grown and Maine-processed grain in a single year . If you’re more the audio type, you can simply listen to our brewmaster and senior technical brewer recount the whole thing in this podcast right here! It Started with a Promise. Our commitment to Maine-grown grain officially began in 2015 , when we made a pledge to brew with one million pounds of Maine-grown grain by 2021 . At the time, that felt ambitious—maybe even a little intimidating. Here’s how t

Photo © Brewers Association We couldn’t be more proud of our entire team for a winning experience at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF), one of the largest and most prestigious beer competition in the world. To paraphrase, we won: Gold – Allagash Tripel – Belgian-Style Tripel Category Gold – Allagash Lager – International-Style Pilsener Category Brewery and Brewer of the Year – Group Size Category Four For Tripel First brewed way back in 1998, this is one of our earliest recipes as a brewery, and it keeps impressing us. With this year’s win, its medal count at the GABF alone now stands at 4 gold and 4 silver. A testament to the dedication our team puts into every single batch.

    Apr 24, 2025 · original
Community is as important to us here at Allagash as it is to the Portland Hearts of Pine —our city’s USL1 league team. So, when coming up with the recipe and design for our collaboration beer, we knew that we wanted community at the core of its creation. Also, of course, we wanted it to be easy-drinking and delicious on a hot summer evening supporting the Hearts. Part 1: The Recipes When we’re looking for a new beer to brew, we’ll pull from our deep bench of Pilot Beer ideas. This long, long list of employee-inspired beer ideas can come from anyone around the brewery, no matter their tenure or position. This beer started no differently. First, though, we talked with the team over at the Hearts of Pine to see what they were looking for in a beer to enjoy during match day. What flavors, what color, what ABV (alcohol by volume). Where it ended up was something that was light, bright and ref
