Sep 28, 2026 · original
We’re back for year #15 of All Things Open in 2027! Save the Date now and plan to join us in downtown Raleigh, NC October 17-19. It’s a Sunday through Tuesday pattern, one our community should recognize. We’ve been putting a lot of thought into how we can make year 15 a celebration – not just an event. We feel you’ll like what we’ve come up with. Questions regarding the 2027 date? Contact us at info@allthingsopen.org . Save the date to your calendar! Tuesday, September 22 | 12:00 PM ET | Online, 30 minutes Your AI agent did something. Now prove it to someone who doesn’t work for you. Most agent governance stops at “here are our logs.” That satisfies your own team. It does not satisfy a customer, a partner, or a regulator. They want evidence they can check themselves, with tools they can read. That’s what makes this session an open source story. Imran Siddique , Chief Product Officer at OPAQUE Systems, created the Agent Governance Toolkit, an MIT-licensed policy and sandboxing layer for AI agents that Microsoft now maintains on GitHub. He also founded agentrust-io, the open home of the TRACE attestation spec, cMCP, and the Agent Manifest. Steven Mih , Founder and CEO of Action State, runs a free public witness service that any agent log can use. Together they’ll show the TRACE Registry: a public, append-only record of agent evidence w - 200 Attend September Meetup!

Our August meetup was one of the largest and most active we’ve ever hosted over the past decade. Attendance was well over 200 and the vibe was positive and electric. Attendees were engaged and attentive as the topic was clearly one of great interest. Taylor Desseyn of Randstad Digital powered by torc.dev delivered a very good 15-minute overview presentation looking at the current state of Hiring, and that was followed by a fantastic panel discussion featuring Anya Derbakova of AWS, Daikerra Sweat of Dell Technologies, and Bobby McNeil Jr. of Enact. Topics such as interviewing best practices, how to differentiate yourself in a crowded field, the future of programming jobs, candidate filtering using AI tooling, and many more were discussed at length. May 15, 2026 · original
Our May 5 meetup was tremendous as 100+ attended at Wake Tech’s RTP campus. Dr. Lisa Bradley, a distinguished cybersecurity expert and visionary leader currently serving as Senior Director of Product & Application Security at Dell Technologies, was the speaker and she did an amazing job. The topic was an important one – What Enterprises Look for in OSS Under the EU Cyber Resilience Act — and How Maintainers Can Deliver It. The subtitle was Turning EU Cyber Resilience Act requirements into actionable guidance for open-source maintainers. The topic was important because many companies in the RTP and surrounding areas, and in the ATO community, offer software products that no longer stay within the U.S. market, especially in the open source ecosystem. And because the EU Cyber Resilience Act makes cybersecurity a legal requirement, the penalty for non-compliance can be severe. The audience w - 2026 Early Bird Registration Opens Tuesday, June 2
