Cleaning up records on Cloudflare

Wow, a new post? Say it ain t so. Unfortunately, this is going to be short and to the point, since it is almost 10 pm on a Sunday evening and I ve spent way too much time fighting the Cloudflare API to write a novel here. The premise, perhaps you are running an (internal only!) Kubernetes cluster with a version of cert-manager which is too old to pick up these changes for Cloudflare s API updates. So what you are left with is certs which cannot renew because cert-manager is failing to delete the old TXT records in your account.
Prometheus SNMP Exporter with AxeEffect

I recently received my beta unit of the AxeEffect environmental sensor from Craft Computing . Similar to others, I was looking to use the sensor with one of my existing Prometheus deployments, but the sensor currently only supports SNMP. Prometheus support is on the potential roadmap, but nothing coming soon. I figured that the Prometheus SNMP Exporter would be suitable for this purpose, but setting up the exporter is not always the most straightforward process. I did get it working, and wanted to document the process for anyone else looking to do similar.

In my previous post, I mentioned I was hoping to write up a post about how this website is architected. Actually following through on this hope, here is my first real content post on this site! (I apologize in advance for how long this post got…) I wanted to make a site which I was able to easily update, and could do so from my phone or tablet. This is a bold requirement for someone who has never had a content blog before, but I wanted a challenge, so onward I went. I also wanted to have a highly available website, that would stay up to date between both without any intervention on my part. I have more power outages at my house than seems reasonable, and did not want my web presence to disappear since I have not forked over the cash for a home generator yet.

Hello World! If you are reading this, then I was able to update my site dynamically by adding this page to my git repo. When I update this repo, deployments in two different Kubernetes clusters around the world will update dynamically. Cloudflare routes the traffic to either cluster dynamically as well. I hope to write a more detailed post in the future explaining how this is done! :) I can also add code samples in the vim style:
