    On Tuesday, December 21, 2021 the Ambassador Bridge and several southwest Detroit community organizations including the Mexicantown Community Development Corporation, Plaza Del Sol, LA SED Inc, and Trinity – St. Mark’s United Church of Christ came together to distribute 100 Christmas turkeys to families in the community. In addition to the turkeys, the bridge company contributed hundreds of toys to that where distributed to children in the local neighborhoods. The Ambassador Bridge wants to thank Prince Valley Market, who supplied the turkeys, for their wonderful partnership and commitment to the community.

    This holiday season the Ambassador Bridge collaborated with community partners to distribute toys and supplies to help our neighbors celebrate the season. The bridge company donated over 400 LEGO sets to our community partner organizations who then distributed the toys to families in Southwest Detroit. To serve our elderly neighbors, the bridge company donated an entire truckload of necessary supplies to our partners at the Detroit Area Agency on Aging. We are blown away by the transformational work done by our friends at La Sed: Latin Americans for Social & Economic Development, Inc., Plaza Del Sol, Most Holy Trinity Detroit and the Detroit Area Agency on Aging.   3. Ambassador Bridge Donates Meals in Southwest Detroit

    On Monday November 23rd the Ambassador Bridge partnered with members of the state legislature, Detroit City Council, and several local churches and community groups to serve families who have been impacted by COVID-19. The Ambassador Bridge Turkey Giveaway is an annual tradition for the Bridge Company, but this was a record-breaking year with 500 turkeys distributed to families in Southwest Detroit as well as canned goods and fresh produce. Due to the pandemic, the event was completely outdoors and individuals drove up throughout the day to have turkeys loaded into their cars by volunteers. Supplies were also delivered to those unable to leave their homes. Sergeant Michael Gutuerrez of the Detroit Police Department Fourth Precinct said, “it was great to see the Bridge Company partner with community leaders for this event.
