August 2026 President’s Report The board just wrapped up its strategic meeting at Harrah’s Atlantic City, and I’m really excited about what’s coming for the 2027 AMUG Conference. Being at the venue in person, walking through the property, and talking through the plans gave us a chance to really see what we can do with the space. I think Harrah’s is going to be a great place to bring the AMUG community together, and there are a lot of things we’re looking forward to bringing to life. Dallas Martin President We also recently approved the committee chairs’ recommended volunteer lists for 2027 (see the committee members here ). AMUG wouldn’t be what it is without the people who volunteer their time, ideas, and energy, and it’s great to see those teams coming together. Attendee registration opens September 1, and we’re working on a few fun things this year too. We’re launching an exclusive AM - AMUG July 2026

July 2026 President’s Report I’m honored and grateful to have been elected to serve AMUG and its members. AMUG means a lot to me because it brings real users together to share real experiences, challenges, lessons learned, and wins. That is what makes this community so special. As board members and committee chairs settle into their new positions, I continue to be reminded of the passion, experience, and commitment throughout the AMUG community. Our board members are learning how we can best work together; listening to our members, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and exhibitors; and beginning the important work of preparing for the next AMUG Conference in March 2027. Dallas Martin President I’m excited to serve alongside a board of passionate and talented leaders who care about the future of AMUG. There is a lot of important work ahead. I want to help build on the momentum created by the - 2026 Board Elections and Appointments

June 2026 President’s Report As we find ourselves halfway through the calendar year, several members of the AMUG Board find themselves at the end of their service tenure. Most positions hold a two-year term on the board of directors, and we’ve had four positions turn over this year. We will conclude our roles on the board as of June 30, with the newly elected/appointed team members filling the roles starting July 1. It has been an honor to serve AMUG in varying capacities over the last 13 years. Volunteering with AMUG allows us to be part of a team that delivers important and meaningful services to the additive community. The team members I have worked alongside while on the board have been thoughtful, dedicated, impactful, reliable, and intentional. The mission of AMUG is always the focus, and the team defines how they best collaborate to ensure we are meeting the mission. The incoming - AMUG May 2026

May 2026 President’s Report We are in month FIVE of 2026…time is moving so swiftly. Sometimes I can feel the time passing; other times it’s already passed before I even took notice! I am a constant work in progress in the skill of slowing down. I’ve got to-do lists for days, and as I have said before, I love crossing things off. And so, in my attempt to complete tasks, I can miss moments. I’m working on it. One current task is working with our board of directors as we wrap up and evaluate AMUG 2026, while also planning for AMUG 2027 and the years beyond. These items fuel yet another list of discussions, tasks, and plans. We’ve had a great board serving our organization in the last year (as you know, positions are up for change every 2 years). Those of us who will not be returning to our positions are working hard to ensure our successors are equipped to step in and serve. Shannon VanDere - 2026 Technical Competition Winners

April 2026 President’s Report April is one of my favorite months. It’s where I really start celebrating the change of seasons…I plant my gardens, the lawn begins its mowing cycles, the irrigation starts running, and farmers’ markets begin (at least here in the Southeast). It’s funny to me how often “change” seems to be a theme in my life–personally and professionally. At AMUG 2026, the welcome presentation was focused on change. Change is a booster for growth…development…improvement. The opportunities continue to present themselves, and the board continues to discuss and strategize the AMUG Conference’s continued growth and relevance. Shannon VanDeren President For those who haven’t yet completed your conference survey, we wish you would. Your feedback directly impacts our board discussions at our July strategy meeting.
