SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 29, 2026) – As the fall semester rolls along and the first cold fronts make their way slowly southward, the Association of Collegiate Anglers is gearing up for its second major event of the 2026-27 season on the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. The AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open is set to take place at Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, AR on October 10-11, 2026. The close to $10,000 increase in payout from 2025 to 2026 is thanks in large part to AFTCO providing additional cash and prizes to this year’s payout. The tournament, hosted by the City of Grove, was the fifth and final event of the season for the BFL Okie Division. Boehle earned $13,100, including a $7,000 Phoenix bonus, for his victory. Trolling motor battery issues plagued Boehle during the tournament, and he limped along Saturday after starting the day with a 10 percent battery charge. It didn’t faze him too badly, however, as he caught 10 keepers, all on a jig, to head into Day 2 with the lead after weighing 18 pounds, 1 ounce. “On Day 2 I got my trolling motor batteries to 30 percent overnight,” Boehle said. “I caught one on a topwater early and then went fishing the jig - Onalaska’s Laufenberg Uses Home-Water Knowledge to Win Phoenix Bass Fishing League Event at Mississippi River-Prairie du Chien

According to Laufenberg, heavy rains the week before the tournament dumped up to six inches of rain locally, which caused one of the tributaries upriver of Prairie du Chien to blow out mud and, as a result, turn the water in Pool 9 to mud. “I had seen the scenario before and knew what I needed to do to capitalize on it,” Laufenberg said. “Early in the week of practice you couldn’t get a bite, because they were covered in mud. The victory earned the Eagles’ bass club $2,000 and a qualification into the 2027 MLF College Fishing National Championship. “We had a pretty rough practice,” Sumrell said. “The majority of the time we spent idling offshore looking for late summer schools on shell beds. We also spent a lot of time ‘scoping creek channels looking for roamers. It was pretty hard to catch big fish, so at the end of practice we switched to fishing the grass and found a magical 30-yard stretch that the bigger bass were using.” Knight said on the morning of the tournament the team fo - Caldwell and Young Claim Inaugural NPFL Military Classic

LA GRANGE, Calif. – Hayden Lee of Angels Camp , came to Lake Don Pedro for the BAM Pro-Am West’s third and final stop of 2026 with the goal of making the season’s year-end Tournament of Champions. Stacking up daily limits of 21.19, 16.35 and 15.07, Lee finished with 52.61, more than four-pounds over his nearest competitor claiming victory at the event hosted in partnership with Lake Don Pedro, Chicken Ranch Casino Resort, Tackle Warehouse and conservation sponsor Fisherman’s Warehouse. “Trying to figure out how to catch keepers was the main thing to make myself make the TOC and it was so tough, I just went to the big baits,” said Lee. The California pro covered water from the bank to 130-feet deep, finding fish grouped in mixed sizes but rarely finding enough willing to bite from one place to stay put. “I thought I was going to be able to rope ’em on couple spots and that did not happen, - Buchmann remains atop Bassmaster Elite Qualifier at Norfork Lake

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — The second round of competition required more persistence and offered less reward, but Kayden Buchmann managed to maintain his lead on Day 2 of the Nitro Boats Bassmaster Elite Qualifier at Norfork Lake presented by Bass Pro Shops . Day 1 saw the pro from Troutman, N.C., take the top spot with a limit of 16 pounds, 7 ounces. Adding a second-round bag that went 14 even, Buchmann tallied 30-7. “Every day is different out here,” Buchmann said. “I caught mine completely different today than I did yesterday, for the most part.” Same as yesterday, Buchmann started his day looking for pockets with deer near the bank. In his experience, wildlife activity indicates an undisturbed area, as the animals will scatter when boats move in to fish. “I spent the first couple of hours looking for deer and I caught two pretty good ones in a pocket where I saw some deer in the back,” he - B.A.S.S. continues 50/50 technology format for 2027 Elite Series

Courtesy of Dynamic Sponsorships Long before the tournament began, Easton Fothergill knew the 2026 Lowrance Bassmaster Elite at the St. Lawrence River was not going to be a normal derby. Fothergill entered the event in 40th place in the angler of the year standings, right on the bubble to qualify for his 4th consecutive Bassmaster Classic. Easton knew he needed to perform; there was just one major problem. When official practice began on the massive St. Lawrence River fishery, Fothergill was in a hospital bed in Watertown, New York. He was a long way from home and even farther from feeling healthy enough to fish. Fothergill spent almost his entire practice in the hospital with a severe case of rhabdomyolysis. His focus shifted from finding giant smallmouth to simply getting healthy enough to compete. MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — Kaden Buchmann spent a lot of time looking for deer today, but the Troutman, N.C., pro was not distracted from the task at hand. Actually, spotting whitetails helped him sack up the limit of 16 pounds, 7 ounces that leads Day 1 of the Nitro Boats Bassmaster Elite Qualifier at Norfork Lake presented by Bass Pro Shops . A field of 134 competitors took to this White River impoundment for the first of three “EQ” events, also including Toledo Bend (Oct. 21-23) and Lake Guntersville (Nov. 11-13). After the final event, the Top 10 anglers in EQ points standings will qualify to fish the 2027 Progressive Bassmaster Elite Series . Heading into Day 2 with a 2-ounce lead over Mike McClelland , Buchmann attributed his success to strictly targeting big-fish areas. In some instances, that meant spots that resembled places where he had caught good ones on other lakes. Elsewhere, he
