St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda – Monday 20 th July 2026: Antigua and Barbuda’s hospitality industry is celebrating an outstanding international achievement as acclaimed local mixologist Auslando Davis has been awarded a prestigious scholarship by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation , earning a place among an elite group of emerging beverage professionals from around the world. Davis, who serves as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Curtain Bluff Antigua , is a WSET Level 2 Sommelier and a decorated member of Antigua and Barbuda’s National Culinary Team. From July 13 to August 21, 2026 , fourteen high school students will be placed at participating hotels and restaurants across Antigua and Barbuda, where they will train alongside experienced chef mentors. Through hands-on learning in professional kitchens, participants will gain practical culinary skills, workplace experience, and valuable insight into the dynamic world of hospitality.
