If you’ve only got 3 days in Cusco, don’t worry – I’ll show you exactly how to make the most of it. 2. 15 Things to do in the Yasawa Islands, Fiji (From Someone Who Actually Did Them)
    Aug 16, 2026 · original
Headed to Fiji and looking for the best things to do in the Yasawa Islands?! You’re in the right place! From snorkeling with black tip reef sharks and exploring the Sawa-i-Lau Caves to simply looking for colorful shells on the beach and watching the sunset with a tropical drink in hand, there’s actually a LOT to do in the Yasawa Islands! When I first booked my trip to Fiji, I was a tad worried I’d end up bored outta my mind. Yes, I love the beach, but I tend to get restless and cannot for the life of me sit still for more than an hour if I’m lucky (even if the scenery’s gorgeous). For example, I recently spent 3 days on the beach in El Tunco during my week in El Salvador , and I simply did not know what to do with myself, haha. So, safe to say I wasn’t sure exactly how 10 days in Fiji (solo at that) would be. Well my friends, I somehow filled up the days and nights with so many Yasawa Is
  3. 10 Days in Fiji: Island Hopping the Yasawa Islands
    Aug 5, 2026 · original
Hoping to plan the perfect 10 days in Fiji with some epic Yasawa Islands island hopping? You’re in the right place! Think impossibly clear turquoise waters, tiny palm-fringed islands, snorkeling over colorful coral reefs, exploring the famous Blue Lagoon and Sawa-i-Lau Caves, and barefoot dinners at sunset. Throw in a few hikes, village visits, and plenty of lazy beach days, and you’ve got one pretty incredible 10-day Fiji itinerary. Now all that’s left to do is embrace Fiji time… and maybe a bowl of kava or two! I spent 10 days in Fiji island hopping through the Yasawa Islands, and honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite trips in years. There’s something really special about life out here – days spent barefoot and perpetually sandy, being greeted with a cheerful “Bula!” everywhere you go, evenings watching the sunset from the beach, and nights staring up at a sky filled with more
  4. Is Rainbow Mountain in Peru Worth It? Complete Guide to Vinicunca from Cusco
    Jun 29, 2026 · original
Heading to Peru and wondering whether a day trip to Rainbow Mountain from Cusco is worth it?! You’re in the right place! I’m sharing my exact experience (the good, the bad, and the ugly), plus all my top tips for visiting one of Peru’s most famous attractions. Before we dive in (fair warning: I’m super wordy and comprehensive), is Rainbow Mountain worth it? Short answer: yes (!!!) – but only if you’re prepared for the altitude, early start, and crowds. It’s absolutely remarkable, but you definitely gotta work for it. The moment I started planning my Peru itinerary , I knew I needed to visit Rainbow Mountain. I mean, it had been sitting at the top of my Pinterest board for literally ages. And if you’ve somehow never heard of it before, you’ve probably seen photos of it without even realizing – those colorful stripes exploded all over Instagram and Pinterest a few years ago. But the more r
  5. 5 Days on the Big Island: The Best Big Island Itinerary You’ll Find
    Jun 25, 2026 · original
Headed to Hawaii and looking for the perfect Big Island itinerary? You’re in the right place! Keep reading for an adventure-packed 5 days on the Big Island, featuring black sand beaches, epic snorkeling, active volcanoes, lush waterfalls, colorful sunsets, sea turtles, and some of the best poke you’ll ever eat. Ohhh – Hawaii . A place we love and frequent quite often (more often than I’d like to admit, haha). I mean, how could we not living so close by in San Francisco (ok, so it is a 5 hour flight, but who’s counting). The Big Island is the largest island in Hawaii (it’s actually bigger than all the other Hawaiian islands combined!), and if you ask me, it’s also the most diverse. One minute you’re relaxing on a white sand beach with sea turtles, and the next you’re driving through lava fields that look like they belong on another planet. From black sand beaches and lush rainforests to a
  6. One Day in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park: Volcanoes, Lava Tubes, and Scenic Views
    May 24, 2026 · original
Hoping to plan the perfect one day in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park?! You’re in the right place! This wildly beautiful corner of the Big Island completely blew me away in the best way possible. From massive volcanic craters and steaming vents to lush rainforest trails and dramatic lava fields, the landscapes here feel almost otherworldly. Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park is home to two of the world’s most famous volcanoes: Kīlauea (one of the most active volcanoes on Earth) and Mauna Loa (the largest volcano on the planet by volume)! And the park itself stretches from sea level to over 13,000 feet, meaning you’ll pass through dramatically different landscapes and climate zones in a single day. If you’ve only got one day in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, don’t worry – you can still see a ton. Think driving along crater rim roads surrounded by ancient lava flows. Hiking across hardened bl
  7. One Day in Arequipa, Peru: How to Plan a Perfect Arequipa Itinerary
    May 14, 2026 · original
Headed to Peru and planning to spend just one day in Arequipa? Follow this Arequipa itinerary for all the top sights and best eats! Arequipa is one of those cities that instantly pulls you in – equal parts dramatic, historic, and effortlessly cool. Peru’s “White City” is packed with dreamy colonial architecture built from volcanic stone, surrounded by towering volcanoes, and filled with just the right mix of culture, food, and laid-back energy. It feels a bit more local and a lot less chaotic/touristy than Lima or Cusco… and honestly, that’s part of the charm. I visited Arequipa during a 3.5-week trip through Peru ( part of a much longer adventure ), and it fit into my itinerary perfectly. After Lima, Paracas, Huacachina, and Nazca, Arequipa felt like a natural next stop – and a great way to start acclimating to the higher altitude without jumping straight into somewhere like Cusco. It’s
  8. A Perfect 2 Weeks in Peru: The Best Peru Itinerary You’ll Find
    Apr 29, 2026 · original
Planning 2 weeks in Peru and looking for the best Peru itinerary out there?! Welcome, you’ve come to the right place! Read on for everything you need to know – how to get around, where to stay, my favorite spots, and of course a crazy comprehensive 2 week Peru itinerary! I had been wanting to visit Peru for as long as I could remember. I mean, there’s a reason Machu Picchu’s been designated a Wonder of the World! So when I was trying to figure out where to go for my annual summer trip and realized it was a great time of year to visit Peru, I figured, well, why not?! I’d already been to Europe SO many times in the summer (I can’t seem to stay away from the Mediterranean – Greece , Turkey , Italy , and Croatia , I’m looking at you), so I was looking for somewhere new. It was only my second time in South America (I’d been to Colombia before but nowhere else!), so I was beyond excited for al
  9. 3 Days in Florence, Italy: The Best Florence Itinerary You’ll Find
    Mar 6, 2026 · original
Hoping to plan the perfect 3 day Florence itinerary?! You’re in the right place! This Renaissance gem of Italy completely stole my heart – in all the best ways possible! I promise you, from world-famous art and iconic domes to mouthwatering pasta and charming piazzas, there’s a lot to love here. If you’ve only got 3 days in Florence, don’t worry – I’ll show you exactly how to make the most of it. Imagine terracotta rooftops glowing under the Tuscan sun. Narrow cobblestone streets lined with trattorias and gelato shops. Renaissance masterpieces tucked inside grand museums and soaring cathedrals. And you can’t forget about the pasta, Chianti wine, and scoops of creamy gelato, of course! Florence (or Firenze in Italian) may be compact, but it’s overflowing with art, history, and charm. And I loved every second of it (including the crowded piazzas). I’ve actually been to Italy quite a few ti
  10. 2025 Year in Review: The Year of Burnout
    Jan 14, 2026 · original
GOODBYE 2025 + HELLO 2026! It’s surely been a year… if you can tell from the title of this blog post. I’ll get more into that later, but I truly cannot believe how jam-packed 2025 ended up being – especially considering I was actively trying to slow down. Spoiler alert: I still traveled a lot (I somehow flew almost 100,000 miles), but I did manage to keep my “fun” work a little more under control than in years past. To be honest, I felt myself shifting a bit this year. I stopped caring about seeing every single tourist sight. I didn’t feel the need to visit a country just to check it off a list. I let go of documenting every single trip on the blog and obsessing over perfect photos. And honestly? It all feels so incredibly freeing, especially after making this side hustle such a huge part of my identity for the last decade. It probably helps that I have no intentions of writing dozens of
