- NJ EDA Approves CAFE Tax Credits To Madison Marquette
Aug 21, 2026 · original
We are pleased to announce that the New Jersey Economic Development Authority has approved an award of $75 million of CAFE tax credits to Madison Asbury Retail. With this award the EDA and Governor Sherrill’s administration are ensuring that the legendary Convention Hall in Asbury Park will be rehabilitated and restored to its rightful place as one of the most iconic structures in New Jersey. Thank you to the Sherrill administration, especially Governor Sherrill and NJEDA CEO Evan Weiss, for making CAFE operational and supporting this project, and for understanding that Asbury Park is a special place and the Convention Hall is its anchor. We sincerely appreciate the endless advocacy and support of Senator Vin Gopal. Senator Gopal recognizes that the culture of Asbury Park, with its legendary music and art, is a state treasure. This investment would not have been possible without him. Fin - Is Asbury Park Boardwalk Worth Visiting?

Greetings to the Asbury Park Community and our loyal Boardwalk visitors Several weeks ago, due to forecasts for stormy and snowy weather, we conducted a special inspection of the breezeway through the Casino Building (that’s the part that is the extension of the Boardwalk). This inspection noted an area of concern, and, to protect public safety, we closed the outdoor path to Ocean Grove. We’re in Asbury. Rumors swirled. Specters of the implosion of the entire Casino Building suddenly appeared all over social media. We even noticed a post about the curse of the Morro Castle. Understandably, our great State Senator Vin Gopal and our representatives Margie Donlan and Luanne Peterpaul expressed their concern over any potential demolition. Mayor Moor and the city council rightly urged us to find a solution. We did. The breezeway will be repaired and preserved. As soon as the repairs are compl - Seasons Greetings from The Asbury Park Boardwalk

The Giving Tree 2025 The Asbury Park Boardwalk and the Wooden Walls Project invite the community to celebrate the 5th anniversary of The Giving Tree—the 22-foot sculptural installation that has become one of Asbury Park’s most unique holiday traditions. • What began as an experimental idea has evolved into an iconic seasonal centerpiece, perfectly in step with Asbury Park’s long history of artistic innovation. Its form echoes the rhythm of ocean waves just beyond the Convention Hall and mirrors the building’s Bea - New at the Boardwalk This Season

Whether you’ve never been, or you are a seasoned pro, this guide has insider tips to make the most of your weekend. ART: The map shows art installations on the beach between the two main stages.
